LAX Workers To The Traveling Public: We'll Be Working On Wednesday!
LAX WORKERS WHO VOTED TO LEAVE THE SEIU LAST YEAR WILL BE HARD AT WORK WEDNESDAY SUPPORTING HOLIDAY TRAVELERS
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- While news reports have focused on a planned protest at LAX Wednesday by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), hard-working LAX employees want to assure the traveling public that they will be on the job to assist Angelenos on the busiest travel day of the year.
"It is important for the traveling public to know that LAX workers will be on the job on Wednesday, and that the protest being staged by the SEIU involves people who don't work here," said employee Edgar Rivas. Rivas is one of 450 employees of Aviation Safeguards, a contractor providing wheelchair, skycap, baggage handling and ticket verification for airlines at LAX.
