LCS Constructors Expands into Northern California

SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LCS Constructors, Inc. (LCS) announced their expansion into Northern California with the addition of David Godkin to their team. David joined LCS as Division Manager of LCS' Northern California operations where his primary responsibility will be to support and expand LCS' laboratory design and construction operations in Northern California.

David possesses a wide variety of experience making him a unique addition to the LCS team. Prior to joining LCS, David spent 19 years supporting the growth and global expansion of American Peptide Company (APC), a dynamic pharmaceutical company based in Sunnyvale, California. During his tenure at APC, David served in a variety of key management roles including Vice President; Finance & Administration; CFO/Corporate Secretary; and Treasurer (which encompassed Human Resources, Facilities, and Accounting).

David also oversaw construction and management of multiple facilities from concept to completion, including APC's 36,000 square foot cGMP facility in Vista, California that included class 100,000 cleanroom purification suites; class 10,000 packaging rooms; wet chemistry synthesis suites; explosion proof flammable raw material and hazardous waste storage warehouses; and the installation and commissioning of a 200 liter lyophilizer.

Incidentally, APC was a client of LCS' for over 13 years making David acutely aware of the client's perspective in a design-build project and able to provide the level of service assistance he would expect as a client.

Over the past year LCS has made some significant changes to its business model allowing the firm to provide its clients with increased services from its laboratory consultancy group (specifically programming, consulting, design and engineering services) in addition to the design-build and general construction services  that LCS has provided for over 20 years.
