LAS VEGAS, Sept. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Le Nez de l'Armagnac, recently released by Editions Jean Lenoir to commemorate Armagnac's 700th year anniversary, is now available in the United States through its official US distributor, Wine Aromas.
"We are pleased to welcome Jean Lenoir's latest creation, Le Nez de l'Armagnac, a beautiful addition to our wine and coffee educational collection," said Anton Reznik CEO of Wine Aromas. "Le Nez de l'Armagnac is an extremely useful tool for honing one's skills in identifying Armagnac aromas." added Sebastien Gavillet, Chief Wine Officer of Wine Aromas, "but even more than just a tool for training one's sense of smell, it is a celebration of Armagnac's long and rich history. It would be a lovely addition to the collection of all wine and Armagnac enthusiasts."
Armagnac, which turned 700 in 2010, is France's oldest eau-de-vie. This much-loved French brandy is made by distilling white wines from the appellations of Armagnac, Bas-Armagnac, Armagnac Tenareze, Haut-Armagnac and Blanche Armagnac.
Le Nez de l'Armagnac comes in a plush, carmine-red, cloth-bound box. Inside are 12 glass vials, each containing one of the 12 key Armagnac aromas: Linden, Pear, Quince, Honey, Prune, Candied Orange, Walnut, Leather, Oak, Cocoa, Pepper, and Vanilla. With practice, one can become very adept at identifying the essential aromas of Armagnac.
A colorful and illustrated guidebook also comes with the Armagnac aroma kit. Full of Armagnac facts and trivia, this guidebook discusses everything anyone can wish to know about Armagnac – its history, its production regions, how it's made, the grape varieties used in making it, and other information that can only increase one's appreciation and enjoyment of this brandy.
Le Nez de l'Armagnac retails for $129 and is available at the Wine Aromas website, www.winearomas.com.
