Leadership Speaker/Career Coach Sahar Andrade Launches Fearless Womenpreneur
Program empowers women entrepreneurs to conquer their fears and achieve their dreams.
WHEATLAND SHADOW HILLS, Calif., Aug. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- It's has long been the conventional wisdom that in order to succeed, you have to find a way to penetrate the "old boys' network" of clubbable types who control the opportunities the world of business. It's an old idea, but it leaves out a good half of the population. But for Sahar Andrade, the diversity, inclusion, and leadership speaker who heads Sahar Consulting, there's a new element at play. It's what she calls a Tribe of Women.
"We help each other," she says. "And especially when it comes to becoming entrepreneurs." That's why Andrade, already a renowned figure in leadership and motivation, is founding Fearless Womenpreneur - a program designed especially to help the female entrepreneur move ahead and achieve success.
The old cliche about women in the workplace has it that a "glass ceiling" prevents them from rising past a certain point. But for Andrade, a TED Talk speaker, podcast host, and coach, "The glass ceiling is actually a myth. We women can build our own building and have our own roof. The way that we can do that is for women to support each other, to have that tribe, to network together, to pull each other forward, to give a helping hand, to expand on their knowledge, to brainstorm together."
It may sound idealistic, but for Andrade, an expert on intercultural communication with a background in educational psychiatry, it's an observed reality. As she explains, "The problem in female circles sometimes is jealousy. People want to know why they missed out on a job that another woman got. But I've found that when you put together a big group of positive women, that envy doesn't show up. And ninety-five per cent of the women around me are those that want to move forward."
According to Andrade, one of the greatest roadblocks that women face when becoming entrepreneurs is also one of the most universal human emotions: fear. And that's why, as "the Fear Whisperer", Andrade has dedicated herself to helping women from all backgrounds and walks of life to conquer their fears by changing their mindsets and patterns, and converting negative thoughts into positive ones. And it's through helping them conquer their fears that Andrade has helped countless women who were unemployed or stuck in situations that they hated to reinvent themselves and achieve the greatness that they had always wanted.
Andrade's work comes from insights that she has gleaned from real-life experience. "It's a common thing," she says, "but it holds so many people back: the imposter syndrome. It happens to women who are really, really good at what they do. They have so many skills and talents, but there is that little voice in their mind that tells them, 'Oh, you don't know what you're doing. People are going to find out who you really are. You're going to be ridiculed. People are going to find out that you were just in the right place at the right time.'"
Fearless Womenpreneur had already had a pilot program in Pasadena and received rave reviews from its participants. Now it's ready to go national, and empower women all over the country to conquer their fears and achieve their dreams.
