SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Capshare, provider of a comprehensive equity management platform for valuation service providers and for organizations, has closed $1 million in strategic funding as a part of its strategy for significant growth in 2014, the company's executives said.

The new funding round was co-led by Gavin Christiansen of Kickstart Seed Fund and Joel Yarmon of Draper Associates, with participation from serial entrepreneur Jeremy Andrus (former SkullCandy CEO), and Capshare founder and serial entrepreneur Jeron Paul.

In related news, the company has also launched a pilot project with Silicon Valley business accelerator 500 Startups, in which Capshare is providing equity management software to all 500 of the organization's portfolio firms.
