"I've known Howard for more than 16 years. His knowledge of the fleet fuel industry combined with his financial management experience and extremely strong data analysis skills are a game-changer for Sokolis Group," said Glen Sokolis, President of Sokolis Group. "As our company has grown, our opportunities have grown too. Howard's background is a perfect fit to strengthen our infrastructure while enhancing our ability to provide outstanding fuel management service to all of our clients."
Per Abrams, "This is a dream-come-true opportunity for me and I feel so fortunate that the timing was right for me to pursue it. Throughout my career, I've always focused on improving data, systems, and processes to help eliminate manual tasks to allow everyone to focus on what they do best. My experience in the fleet fueling industry and working with Glen have also been very enjoyable. I am very excited to now focus my skills on increasing Sokolis Group's clients' bottom line through fuel savings."
Previously, Abrams served in senior financial management roles for several companies, including the nation's largest mobile fueling company with revenue over $500 million servicing locations in more than 30 states. Abrams' experience also includes developing proprietary systems for processing millions of diesel fueling transactions that won two Microsoft awards.
With Abrams on board, Sokolis Group plans to make significant improvements to its ability to integrate data from Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) and other diesel fuel pricing files, along with fueling transactions from companies like Comdata, WEX, EFS, and other fleet fuel card providers and mobile fueling providers. The clear objective is to provide meaningful, actionable data and lower overall fueling costs, all while auditing, validating and reconciling our client's fuel program.
Abrams is a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of experience and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University with a BA in Accounting.
