Leading Online Ticketing Platform Ticketleap, Introduces $0.25 All-In Flat Fee for Tickets $5 and Under
Finally, it makes sense to sell those $5 tickets online
PHILADELPHIA, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Popular DIY online ticketing platform Ticketleap differentiates itself from competitors by catering to events that have the purpose of building community. Over the past 8 years, it has generated $350 million in ticket sales, with about a third of that volume occurring in just the past 12 months.

The company responsible for the personalized Selfie Ticket, which admits event attendees via self-captured portraits instead of alienating QR codes, is announcing its latest initiative to help online ticket sales for community focused events: a flat fee of $0.25, including credit card processing, for events $5 and under.
Previously, Ticketleap's fee on a $5 ticket was $1.25. The fee structure was optimized for a higher priced ticket (in comparison a $20 ticket comes with a $2 fee) and as a result didn't make much sense for less expensive events. Now, in order to incentivize online ticket sales for these events, Ticketleap has substantially reduced its fee for all tickets $5 and under. And, in an effort to shake up the industry's annoying model of ticketing fees driving up the price, this $0.25 fee can't be passed on to the attendee, making the cost of a $5 ticket.... exactly $5 (ticket buyers rejoice!).
Tim Raybould, Ticketleap's CEO, says the new pricing model is a win-win for event organizers and attendees, alike. "Selling tickets in advance is a wonderful thing. It gives hosts well-deserved peace of mind and is more convenient for buyers. These days nearly all events sell tickets online with one glaring exception: low priced events still mostly rely on cash at the door. It's easy to see why: ticketing fees can be almost as much as the ticket itself, and that's not fun for anyone. Ticketleap's flat fee changes the game. We believe that $5 comedy night should cost $5, not $6.27."
About Ticketleap
Ticketleap has a strongly held belief that companies and teams that really "get social" are those that make it a point to build relationships the old fashioned way: in person. One of the best ways to do that is through events. For 8 years, Ticketleap has helped thousands of events sell over $350 million in tickets, with about a third of that volume coming in the last 12 months.
To pick up where events leave off, Ticketleap is building Met. Whether you're attending a big conference or meeting someone for coffee, Met keeps track of your in person moments, shares them with your team, and inspires more of them to happen.
