Mr. Bernabe ([email protected]) practices in the areas of Real Estate, Business, and Commercial Litigation with special emphasis on the multi-family housing industry, and the unique issues facing affordable housing providers.  Mr. Bernabe received a Bachelor of Science in Laws from the American College of Law in 1995, and earned his Juris Doctor in 1997. Prior to joining Pahl & McCay, Mr. Bernabe was Chief of Operations for TELACU Property Management, where he oversaw over 125 properties, including both non-profit and for-profit multi-family housing properties. Mr. Bernabe is a former police officer and combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is currently a captain in the California Army National Guard. Mr. Bernabe, admitted to practice in the State of California, will be based in the firm's Los Angeles office.

Ms. Schiffner ([email protected]) practices in the areas of Civil and Employment Litigation. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, in Philosophy and Communication from Boston College, College of Arts & Sciences in 2007. While in law school, Ms. Schiffner held executive positions on the Journal of International Law, and Santa Clara University's Honors Moot Court Internal Competition Board.  She also received the Herman M. Levy Employment Law Scholarship. In 2010, she earned her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law, graduating Order of the Coif, Cum Laude.  Ms. Schiffner is admitted to practice in the State of California and is based in the San Jose office.
