Leading Sports Nutrition Brand, Six Star Pro Nutrition®, announces Winners of the First Annual "Greatness Is Earned" National Scholarship Award
TORONTO, Aug. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ - Six Star Pro Nutrition®, the nationally recognized sports nutrition brand by Iovate Health Sciences International Inc., is proud to announce the winners of its first annual Greatness Is Earned Scholarship Award program. The program was initiated last year with the goal of making a difference in the lives of American high school and post-secondary students by awarding one male and one female student athlete a $15,000 bursary (for a total of $30,000) to put towards their college or university education. Six Star® would like to congratulate Thatcher Boyd and Taylor Arehart as the first-ever Greatness Is Earned Scholarship Award winners.

The Greatness Is Earned Scholarship Award program recognizes one male and one female student who have demonstrated excellence in school and sports, as well as a commitment to community volunteer work.
Thatcher, 19, is from New Carlisle, Indiana. His love of fitness began with running, both short and long distance, and progressed to martial arts, where he truly found his passion. A film student at Indiana University of Bloomington, Thatcher volunteers his time as a cook in a local soup kitchen, making and delivering food to those in need.
Taylor, also 19, of Scottsdale, Arizona, is a pre-medical student at Northern Arizona University, preparing for a career as a surgeon. Taylor has competed for years as a swimmer and took first place for her age group at her first sprint triathlon. Like Thatcher, she supports those who suffer food insecurity in her community. Taylor volunteers at Louie's Cupboard, packaging and shipping food to those in need.
