LeafLink Partners with Confia to Deliver Best-In-Class Cannabis Banking Services
Collaboration Brings LeafLink's suite of financial and banking solutions to Confia Customers
NEW YORK, Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- LeafLink, the nation's leading cannabis wholesale and banking platform, and Confia, a prominent FinTech company, have formed a strategic partnership through which LeafLink acquired customers from Confia's cannabis banking platform. Confia customers have seamlessly transitioned onto the Dama Financial by LeafLink platform and gained access to its industry-leading financial services suite. Through its trusted network of regulated bank partners and advanced technology platform, Dama Financial by LeafLink addresses the persistent pain points of cannabis banking—such as poor user experience, limited and unreliable services, and hidden fees—by providing businesses with reliable access to banking services, a seamless digital platform, and transparent pricing.
"We are excited to partner with Confia to bring their cannabis customers a more robust and enriched banking experience," said Ryan Himmel, Chief Strategy Officer at LeafLink. "This partnership marks an important step in LeafLink's commitment to strengthening the financial health of cannabis businesses. By enhancing the banking journey for Confia customers, we will streamline back-end processes, reduce uncertainty, and allow them to focus on what matters most: building sustainable businesses."
The partnership builds on LeafLink's July 2024 acquisition of Dama Financial, the banking division of Dama Technology, Inc. This significantly expanded LeafLink's product offerings to include cannabis banking capabilities. Since the acquisition, LeafLink has continued to grow its customer base by offering a full suite of banking, credit, and payments tools, helping cannabis operators reduce hidden fees, access competitive credit lines, and mitigate collections risk.
A 2025 survey conducted by LeafLink found that 10% of cannabis operators have contended with banking shutdowns. While 63% of operators reported banking with a local bank or credit union, 11% said they operate without a bank at all. Of those with a bank, 40% said they contend with high monthly fees or high transaction fees. LeafLink's solution provides stability and deep expertise tailored to the unique needs of cannabis businesses.
