LeapFrog Enterprises Wins Top Honors From Toy Industry Association in Two Categories

EMERYVILLE, Calif., Feb. 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: LF) was honored at the 11th Annual Toy of the Year (TOTY) Awards ceremony for its imaginative and innovative learning products. Leapster Explorer™ was awarded 2011 Educational Toy of the Year; My Own Leaptop™ won Infant/Preschool Toy of the Year. The ceremony was held February 12 in conjunction with the Toy Industry Association's American International Toy Fair.

The Toy Industry Association has consistently recognized LeapFrog, bestowing awards on more than 20 LeapFrog products. The original breakthrough LeapPad® Learning System was awarded the very first Toy of the Year Award in 1999. Additionally, LeapFrog's Leapster® Learning System was awarded the Toy of the Year Award in 2003, and the Tag™ Reading System received this distinguished industry recognition in 2009.

Parents can connect My Own Leaptop to the computer to personalize play by entering a child's name, "sending" preset email messages from family members and selecting favorite songs. Then when kids turn on My Own Leaptop, they are greeted by name and have mail waiting, for a play and learning experience all their own.
