Each year, the Time to Play team tests and reviews thousands of new toys, games and puzzles, led by industry experts Jim Silver, Time to Play editor in chief, and Chris Byrne ("The Toy Guy"), Time to Play content director. The result is the "Time to Play Holiday Most Wanted," the year's most anticipated hot toy list, comprising toys the team predicts will be kids' "must haves."
"The debut of Leapster Explorer heralds a new way of combining educational play with next-gen mobile learning," said Time to Play's Jim Silver. "With significantly increased hardware features and functionality, complemented by outstanding content that's the richest and most engaging yet from LeapFrog, the heritage of the Leapster brand has come of age with the Leapster Explorer system."
Mobile Learning and Play for Today's Kids
The Leapster Explorer handheld, delivering more than 40 different learning and play experiences by year-end, offers an unprecedented combination of handheld and online play for four- to nine-year-old kids. Featuring a hi-res, finger-touch screen, Leapster Explorer supports downloadable Leaplet™ Learning Apps, like e-Books and videos, and a newly available click-in camera accessory, for high-tech, kid-tough learning and play.
Leapster Explorer players can access even more learning fun online in LeapWorld™ (www.leapfrog.com/leapworld), for a total mobile learning experience that offers kids new discoveries every time they play. And parents can have their own online experience with the one-of-a-kind LeapFrog Learning Path (www.leapfrog.com/learningpath), where they can see what their children are learning as they play with Leapster Explorer. Regularly e-mailed updates allow parents to share children's accomplishments, notice the areas in which they may need additional support and find new ideas for even more learning fun.
