Week of the Young Child is held each year to recognize the needs of young children and thank the adults involved in their education and care. Parents, teachers, caregivers, and other adults play important roles in the lives of young children, and Week of the Young Child celebrates their efforts.
"For over 40 years, Learning Care Group has been dedicated to the highest quality care and education. Our vision is to inspire lifelong learning," said Barbara Beck, Chief Executive Officer. "In observance of this special week, we also honor our dedicated educators that enable our children to have a safe learning environment every day."
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world's largest early childhood education association, sponsors the celebration. Learning Care Group Inc. joins NAEYC through its brands, Childtime, Tutor Time, La Petite Academy, Montessori Unlimited and The Children's Courtyard across the country marking this important week with classroom activities, programs and special events.
In addition to Learning Care Group's celebration of young children during this important week, you can join Dr. Heather Wittenberg, our expert blogger and accredited child psychologist, on our website for daily educational blog posts and interactive webisodes that address ways to help meet the developmental needs of our youngest generation.
"As educators, we are constantly reminded of the amazement and wonderment of children. We are truly privileged to be a part of their lives and help lay the foundation for learning," said Stacy DeWalt, Chief Marketing Officer of Learning Care Group, Inc. "Children are certainly worth celebrating and there's no better time than during Week of the Young Child. Our national Open House Day (4/14) falls right in the middle of this great week."
On Thursday, April 14th from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Learning Care Group, Inc. will host Open House events at Childtime, Tutor Time, La Petite Academy and The Children's Courtyard.
