LEDs Magazine Sapphire Awards finalists represent significant technology achievements

NASHUA, N.H., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- LEDs Magazine is pleased to announce the product finalists across 19 technology categories in the 2019 Sapphire Awards.

Following the recent announcement of the Illumineer of the Year shortlist, LEDs Magazine is rolling out more finalists for the annual Sapphire Awards. This time we are featuring the exciting product developments across 19 technology categories that represent the entire LED and solid-state lighting (SSL) supply chain, from enabling components and test tools to controls and lighting end products. All of the leading-edge products on this list demonstrated the qualities expected in the awards program — viability for commercialization, reliable and efficient performance, contribution to profitability, and ease of use.

The Sapphire Awards judging panel found the number of advances this year to be particularly telling of the progress the SSL industry has made of late in delivering unique form and function in modern fixtures; addressing emerging applications by applying the latest research to both component and SSL product development; and improving light and color quality for an enhanced experience.

The winners will be announced at the Sapphire Awards Gala event on February 28, 2019 on the penultimate night of the Strategies in Light trade show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. This black-tie event includes fine dining, entertainment, and networking as we count down to the awards presentation.
