LEED Certification Training - LEED AP Homes Exam Prep Now Available in Washington, DC
WASHINGTON, March 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Green Education Services, in partnership with AIA|DC, will present a two-day LEED AP Homes Exam Prep Seminar on April 12th and 13th, 2011. The 16-hour course will prepare individuals to sit for the LEED AP Homes specialty exam, and is approved for 16 AIA HSW/SD continuing education units.
LEED AP Homes is a professional credential that signifies an expert understanding of the LEED Certification for Homes rating system. Green Education Services developed the LEED AP Homes training course to facilitate the growing demand for Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) certified homes. Created by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC®), LEED Certification for Homes is a voluntary green building rating system meant to promote the design and construction of high-performance green homes, including townhouses, condominiums, mass-production homes, and other residences under three stories.
The seminar will cover all areas of the design and building of a green home, including the innovative design process, selecting a sustainable site, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality.
For those professionals who have not yet taken the first-tier LEED exam, LEED Green Associate, there will be a one-day preparation course held at the same location on April 11th, 2011. The LEED Green Associate exam covers introductory material on the LEED Green Building Rating Systems and strategies, and is an integral first step in becoming a LEED Accredited Professional (AP).
Registration for both the LEED Green Associate and LEED AP Homes exam prep is open to anyone interested in learning more about green building strategies; there are no prerequisites to attend. For more information call Green Education Services at 1-800-355-1751 or visit www.GreenEDU.com.
