Legal & General Investment Management America announces key new hires to support ongoing strategic growth
CHICAGO, May 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal & General Investment Management America, Inc. ("LGIMA"), a registered investment advisor with over $121.5 billion in assets under management, specializing in fixed income, liability driven investment (LDI), and index strategies for the US market, today announced the addition of four key new hires to the company to support the company's strategic growth initiatives.
Peter Kelly has been appointed Senior Client Relationship Manager, where he will serve as the primary contact for clients implementing Active Fixed Income and Index strategies as well as customized LDI solutions. Peter brings a wealth of expertise in fixed income markets to LGIMA, having spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs in Chicago.
Tom Kim has joined as a Derivatives Specialist in Operations, to support Asset & Trade Services in the cleared and OTC space. Tom joins LGIMA from Magnetar Capital where he was an OTC specialist and previously worked at Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services and Citadel/Omnium LLC.
Mike Kovacs will serve as Head of Index Investment Technology, where he will focus on oversight and execution of all index-related investment technology projects. Most recently Mike worked at Northern Trust, where he was instrumental in the development of trading strategies and the firm's equity portfolio management technology platform. Prior to Northern Trust, Mike worked at Susquehanna International Group and Barclays Global Investors.
LGIMA also welcomes Sharon Rodney as Strategic Marketing Manager, a newly created role in which she will lead the company's strategic marketing campaigns to propel its brand to the next level and further elevate LGIMA's leadership position in the industry. With more than 20 years of experience directing high-profile marketing campaigns in the professional services industry, Sharon joins LGIMA from Accenture, where she held the role of Marketing & Communication Lead for its North America technology group and prior as Global Brand Positioning and Agency Management Lead.
