Legal Community Recognizes Jeffery Leving's Historic Legal Victories
CHICAGO, Aug. 29, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The nation's leading family law firm, The Law Offices of Jeffery M. Leving, has been recognized by the legal community for landmark cases they won this year changing children's lives for the better.
The first case involved a Federal Judge's ruling against a mother's Hague Petition to remove her son from his U.S. father to Mexico. Due to the Leving Firm, particularly attorneys Andrey B. Filipowicz and James C. Neiland, a nine-year-old boy will continue to live with his father in the United States despite possibly underhanded attempts by his mother to take him out of the country permanently to Mexico. After this boy had lived most of his life in the state of Illinois, the child's mother deviously removed him from his father's care in Illinois and took him to Mexico under the false pretense of a 2-3 week vacation, with her intent of never bringing him back. This little boy is now free to continue to enjoy the wonderful life he once knew in Illinois.
The next watershed case involved the Leving litigation team fighting on behalf of a permanently disabled father, by preventing his five-year-old son being taken from him in Illinois to Florida by the mother. Leving attorney, Arthur Kallow, knew the father's disability could impose a difficult barrier for him having a viable relationship with his young son as it would be nearly impossible for him to move, or even visit his child in Florida, nor would the mother foster visits for the boy back to Illinois. The Judge ruled the child must stay in Illinois, otherwise the father-son bond would be damaged forever.
"I appreciate the legal community recognizing the great legal work we do for our clients and how we protect their children from harm. Our firm is rare, not only do we achieve justice in State Court, but we do the same in Federal Court too," said Attorney Leving.
