LOS ANGELES, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- LEHR Incorporated is proud to announce that the award winning, low-emission propane power technology behind the EcoTrimmer, EcoBlower, and EcoMower has been licensed by Fiskars, a multinational powerhouse known for its innovative and iconic lawn and garden tools.  LEHR and Fiskars both have a reputation for innovation, quality, performance and deep concern for our environment.  It was these shared qualities that convinced LEHR to grant an exclusive, worldwide license for lawn and garden tools based on LEHR's patented technology to Fiskars.

Fiskars revealed their plans to launch a new line of Propane-Powered Lawn and Garden Equipment, Powered by LEHR at the National Hardware Show earlier this month.  The two companies will continue to work together to design and expand the portfolio of propane powered lawn and garden products offered by Fiskars.

"It is important to LEHR and to our environment that our technology be available in an ever growing number of applications throughout a host of industries," said LEHR founder and CEO, Captain Bernardo J. Herzer. "This relationship with Fiskars insures that propane powered lawn and garden equipment will be available, trusted, and desired the world over."

With the United States moving from a gasoline fueled economy to a gaseous fueled economy, LEHR is developing six new environmentally friendly propane powered products that are designed to fundamentally change how people power all types of equipment. Propane, a high octane fuel, burns more efficiently than gasoline and delivers serious engine power with greatly reduced exhaust emissions and no ozone-depleting evaporative emissions.  More than 85% of propane used in the U.S. is produced domestically.

LEHR is a world leader in propane-fueled engines, on the cutting edge of green technology. Its patented and proprietary technology was conceived by Captain Bernardo J. Herzer, CEO and founder. During his years traveling the seas Herzer developed technology and ideas for safer, cleaner and sturdy propane engines now used in a line of lawn & garden equipment as well as other equipment. Its products have been lauded by governments, environmental organizations and others receiving many prestigious awards.
