Leominster, Massachusetts Residents Vote "Yes" For $200+ Million Casino Entertainment Project

BALTIMORE, Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cordish Companies are another step closer in their bid to win the sole Category 2 gaming license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts after residents in the City of Leominster today voted overwhelmingly in favor of the proposed $200+ million Massachusetts Live! Casino project.

The Cordish Companies will now move forward with submission of its Phase II gaming license application to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission on October 4.

Located on Jungle Road, off I-190 and Route 117 in Leominster, the Massachusetts Live! Casino will be a $200+ million casino entertainment destination, featuring 1,250 of the latest state-of-the art slot machines and electronic table games, nationally-acclaimed and local restaurant brands, and a live entertainment venue. The Project will generate over $1 billion in local and state tax revenue over its first 10 years of operation.
