
Leslie Nylund Named President Of Sterling & Sterling Insurance
WOODBURY, N.Y., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sterling & Sterling, Inc. today announced that Leslie Nylund, CPCU has been named President of the insurance brokerage. Nylund will report directly to CEO David Sterling and will be responsible for the firm's operations, including Sales, Employee Benefits, Client Services and Senior Carrier Relationships, while also overseeing its field offices in NJ, CT, FL, UT and Los Angeles. Ranked in the nation's top 100 insurance brokerages, Sterling & Sterling is one of the largest in the New York metro area, with premiums topping $300 million.

Prior to being named President, Nylund served as Vice Chair of Sterling & Sterling. Before that, after having served as Willis North America's New York Metro Region Head, she became a National Partner and Chief Placement Officer for the company. At Willis, she was responsible for all of its distribution and carrier relationships, in excess of $16 billion in premiums. She also spent 18 years at Marsh as a Managing Director.
Nylund is a graduate of the College of Insurance and holds the Charter Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
