Leukemia and Lymphoma Cancer Awareness Month: Motivational Speaker and Cancer Survivor Matt Jones Shares Marathon Mentality to Help Healthcare Leaders
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Keynote inspirational speaker and three-time cancer conqueror Matt Jones is commemorating Leukemia and Lymphoma Cancer awareness month by sharing his message of overcoming adversity with 10 speeches in nine states – and a trip to Cape Town, South Africa to participate in his sixth marathon.

"You need to develop a marathon mentality to deal with the realities of fighting cancer," said Jones, who is celebrating his 12th anniversary of being diagnosed with leukemia on September 11, 2002. The Cape Town Marathon will be his sixth marathon on his sixth continent – a major accomplishment for anyone, let alone someone who re-learned how to walk and who endured painful bone marrow transplant procedures. His previous marathons have included San Diego, Rome, Tokyo, Peru and Perth.
