The fiber sub-loops provide enterprise customers with access to Level 3's global product portfolio, additional business continuity disaster recovery (BCDR) services as well as fiber path diversity.
- The expansions build on Level 3's existing network in New York, adding a 2.5-mile sub-loop from Tarrytown to Hawthorne and a 5-mile sub-loop through Purchase
- These additional sub-loops strengthen route diversity, further fortifying BCDR capabilities and providing businesses with a complete fiber path, additional route diversity and increased capacity
- As part of the expansion, Level 3 can deliver up to 100 Gigabyte speeds for business internet and data in addition to Level 3's full product and services portfolio which includes SIP, Security, Cloud, Hybrid WAN
- Level 3's global fiber-optic network stretches for more than 200,000 miles with connections in more than 60 countries and 500 major cities around the globe
