Leviton Announces IFTTT Integration and Enhanced Features for Decora Smart™ with Wi-Fi Solution

MELVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviton announced today expanded features, including IFTTT integration, for Decora Smart™ with Wi-Fi Technology lighting controls. Decora Smart with Wi-Fi light switches, dimmers, and plug-in modules provide time-based schedules, free remote control from anywhere, and optional integrated voice control with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. The customizable solution now includes new enhancements easily accessible via firmware and app updates, including:

• IFTTT Integration (If this, then that): Trigger automation activity based on events in your home using third-party devices and Leviton Decora Smart with Wi-Fi devices. Integrate other smart solutions using IFTTT.com including thermostats, surveillance cameras, door locks, and other smart products.  For instance, if motion is detected on a surveillance camera, then turn on Porch Light.
• Multi-user Support: Invite family and friends to control Leviton devices in your home. Simply enter the individual's email address and press the invite button. Access can be revoked at any time.
• Home and Away Occupancy Modes: Engage home vs. away modes to enact changes upon arrival and departure. For instance, when a homeowner comes home, run the Leviton activity named "Home", which would trigger certain lights to turn on throughout the home. When a homeowner leaves the house, randomize lights once it is dark outside, providing a lived-in appearance, perfect for full-time residences and vacation homes.
• Auto-shutoff Feature: Ideal for closets, hallways, bathrooms, and even children's bedrooms, where lights are often accidentally left on. Instead, the auto-shutoff acts as a customizable countdown timer, turning the lights off automatically after a preset period, selectable from one minute to one hour timeframes.
