Leviton Lighting expands with smart Intellect™ Brand

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leviton Lighting now offers its customers the ability to wirelessly control next generation lighting with the addition of its smart Intellect™ brand. Intellect is Leviton Lighting's fifth brand to join its growing global portfolio along with its other existing brands Birchwood, ConTech, Intense, and JCC. Intellect is offered as a Controls Platform to support Leviton Lighting's growing smart-ware and Internet of Things (IOT) functionality via the Leviton Cloud.

Controlling luminaires wirelessly via Intellect offers energy-saving, code compliant solutions and enables simplified operations. The current system is designed for out-of-the-box Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC code compliance, and is DesignLights Consortium (DLC) qualified for Advanced Lighting Controls. It utilizes local control for secure advanced lighting control, including 0-10V dimming, occupancy sensing and daylight harvesting.

Intellect also provides user-friendly, plug-and-play commissioning capabilities via the Intellect mobile application (app), available for iOS and Android mobile devices. The app connects to the Intellect wall-stations via Bluetooth, allowing users to safely configure and update each room. The wall-stations reduce system downtime by connecting directly to line voltage, and are secure since they do not require a network connection.
