LF Decentralized Trust Adds Swift, Wells Fargo, and 13 Additional New Members

Announces new tokenization project, Panarus; new cross-ledger protocol lab, CLPR

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 24, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LF Decentralized Trust), the premier open source foundation for decentralized technology, announced 15 new members: Brickken, CertiK, Cosmos, DCP Inc., Ethereum Institutional, EthSystems, EUROPEUM, Federação Nacional de Associações de Servidores do Banco Central (Fenasbac), Hypernative, Interchain Foundation, Sui Foundation, Swift, Vana, Wells Fargo, and Zeeve. These members reflect the rapid pace of adoption of LF Decentralization technologies, especially in the institutional market, and widespread commitment to open, neutral development of the tools and platforms needed for production systems.

Cosmos will join Gateway, Nethermind, and OpenZeppelin in the LF Decentralized Trust booth next week at Sibos. These members will address the challenges financial institutions face as they scale their implementations, including:

Technology updates
To support the fast maturing market, the LF Decentralized Trust project ecosystem continues to evolve and grow. A line-up of new projects, releases, and labs are bringing news approaches to meeting critical large-scale implementation requirements. These include:

CLPR ("clipper") is a new bridgeless cross-ledger messaging protocol lab contributed by Hedera and developed by the Hashgraph team. It uses state proofs so that independent blockchain networks can directly verify each other's states with no intermediaries. When used with an application built on it, CLPR can enable assets, data, and messages to move securely across ledgers without bridges, pooled liquidity, or intermediary validator networks.

Panurus, a new platform neutral token infrastructure project, serves as a reusable foundation for blockchain-based asset management. It is the evolution of the Hyperledger Fabric Token SDK lab and has already been deployed in CBDC projects in multiple markets. It addresses the critical privacy, performance, and compliance requirements for deploying tokenized assets that comply with real-world regulatory and operational demands.

Hyperledger Cacti 3.0, the biggest release in the project's history, transitions it from a set of connectors to a general-purpose infrastructure for cross-chain research and financial interoperability. It delivers production-grade cross-chain, use-case driven interoperability infrastructure that addresses the need to move value, data, and trust across independently operated ledgers — safely, verifiably, and in a way that can be standardized.

LF Decentralized Trust will also be hosting an invite-only technical workshop in New York City October 22-23 for banking leaders, financial institutions, and core developers building decentralized privacy architectures. The agenda will feature technical deep dives and roadmap updates from open source maintainers and cryptographers advancing zero-knowledge proofs, secure multi-party computation, and confidential computing.

Latest case study
The newest addition to the LF Decentralized Trust case study library also spotlights the role of LF Decentralized technologies, in this case Hiero, in establishing tokenization infrastructure. The case study, Bridging Two Worlds of Digital Money: A Token Interchange Built on Hiero, details Project Acacia, an initiative by the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and the Digital Finance Cooperative Research Centre (DFCRC) to explore how different forms of digital money, paired with new infrastructure, could support the development of wholesale tokenized asset markets in Australia.
