LG Electronics Expands Commercial Air Conditioning Presence With New Chicago Training Academy
Company's New Product Line, Expanded Training Signal Continued Growth in U.S. HVAC Marketplace
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics, a leading player in the global air conditioning market, announced this week at the International Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration (AHR) Expo in Las Vegas that it will continue to invest in the U.S. commercial air conditioning market (booth #3506). This investment is marked by the planned opening of a new Commercial Air Conditioning (CAC) training academy in Chicago in fall 2011.
As one of world's largest air conditioning manufacturers, LG's goal is to provide customers such as architects, consulting engineers and building owners with a broader range of cost- and energy-efficient climate control solutions that do not sacrifice stylish design or quiet operation. This week, LG is showcasing some of those solutions, including new additions to its Multi-V and PTAC lines, as well as new high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rated) models for residential and light commercial applications.
"This announcement is an example of LG's commitment to the U.S. marketplace and a result of LG's continued growth," noted James Lee, senior vice president, LG Electronics USA, Air-Conditioning and Energy Solutions business unit. "As we continue to bring innovative and energy efficient products to market it is critical that we support our brand with the right technology and training to ensure success."
The new facility will provide focused training rooms for education on LG's Multi-V Applied Commercial Systems, Duct Free Mini Split and PTAC systems, as well as layout and model selection software. Hands-on training will provide detailed experiences with LG's products in diverse situations for full application training. Attendees will have the option of participating in half-day courses for a basic introduction or a more intensive five-day training sessions for detailed content.
Expanding Footprint
The Chicago facility, the first in the Midwest and LG's fifth training academy in the U.S., will focus on educating a diverse audience on LG's advanced applied commercial products, duct-free and energy efficient solutions and other products.
LG opened its first CAC training academy in Georgia in 2009 and has since opened additional facilities in California, Texas and New Jersey to better serve a growing national customer base.
As a result, LG has trained thousands of contractors, installers and engineers at these existing facilities making it easier and more convenient for professionals to get the hands-on experiences they need to lead the industry.
