ALPHRETTA, Ga., Sept. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics USA has introduced the LG Multi V Water Mini, a new space-saving version of its popular Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system –– representing an ideal solution for high-rise buildings.

Designed to maximize floor space, the LG Multi V Water Mini is a compact unit that can be placed inside a closet, eliminating the need for rooftop or other outdoor installations. Special front connections, front-panel access and single-phase electrical capabilities make the LG MV Water Mini an attractive technical solution for building owners in settings tight for space, according to Kevin McNamara, vice president, Commercial Air Conditioning, LG Electronics USA.
"The introduction of the LG Multi V Water Mini to the U.S. market now gives builders and designers a desirable option, providing them a way to incorporate VRF and its many benefits in spaces and buildings they previously would not have been able to," said McNamara. "This is another example of how, with LG, it's all possible, showing how LG continues to innovate and meet the needs of a wide range of building structures."
VRF is a technology system that minimizes efficiency losses and provides sustainable energy benefits that can earn important LEED points for sustainable building projects.* LG VRF systems are engineered to save on the costs of ducts, distribution fans, water pumps, and water piping. VRF also has lower life cycle costs than any other technology available today.
Benefits of the LG Water Mini include:
- Single Phase Power (for older buildings) – [208-230V 1PH 60HZ]
- Compact system saves floor space
- Electrical upgrades are not needed to support system
- Quiet unit with low noise levels (fans are not used in this model)
- Compact and Lighter – each unit is only 168 pounds, which is significantly smaller and more lightweight than typical systems
- Efficiency of Water Source System – New compressor design and optimized heat exchanger contribute to enhanced efficiency as published by AHRI. [Efficiency ratings are available at AHRI web site]
Further establishing LG as a go-to commercial air conditioning equipment provider in the United States, the LG Multi V Water Mini joins the company's broad line-up of VRF systems, meeting the growing demand for energy-saving HVAC technology.
The LG Multi V Water Mini is available in the United States in September 2013. Additional information about these current systems can be found online at www.LG-VRF.com.
