LGIMA announces its management of the newly launched Legal & General Collective Investment Trust funds
CHICAGO, July 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal & General Investment Management America, Inc. (LGIMA), a Chicago-based registered investment advisor with over $119 billion in assets under management, announced its management of the newly launched Legal & General Collective Investment Trust funds maintained by Reliance Trust Company of Delaware, which houses multiple domestic and global funds. The funds launched June 30, 2015 with three index strategies and three additional index strategies are targeted for launch in early third quarter, that provide exposure to the key segments of the global equity opportunity set.
These funds have an emphasis on governance and transparency; areas that have received increased attention over the past few years from regulators, consultants, and the investing community. The funds are being launched with three independent providers to respond to industry concerns while providing investors the value that they deserve. Reliance Trust Company serves as trustee and is responsible for the establishment and on-going operation of the funds. LGIMA serves as the funds' investment manager and Citi serves as the custodian, accountant and securities lending agent for the funds.
