LGIMA further expands LDI Solutions team with four key hires
Additions underscore LGIMA's commitment to its growing LDI business; Supports increasing institutional demand for access to its expertise in liability driven investing
CHICAGO, Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal & General Investment Management America, Inc. (LGIMA), a Chicago-based registered investment advisor specializing in fixed income strategies with an emphasis on liability driven investing (LDI) derisking solutions, today announced the addition of four senior hires to support its expanding LDI business. In the last year, LGIMA has added 27 LDI clients with over $4.6 billion in assets bringing their total LDI base to over $26 billion, and firm AUM to over $47 billion.
Matthew Cohen joins as an LDI Portfolio Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day management and risk oversight of LDI portfolios. Prior to LGIMA, Cohen served as an Associate Vice President on the Fixed Income Interest Rate Options trading desk for Barclays Capital.
Shawn Fan joins as a Senior Quantitative Analyst and works closely with the portfolio management team to deliver the proprietary risk management tools that manage LDI portfolios. Previously Fan worked for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group as a director and led a team that developed and enhanced quantitative analytics and architecture design for the margin production systems.
Ciaran Carr will join in February 2015 as a Solutions Strategist and will be responsible for developing and structuring pension risk management solutions. Carr is currently with LGIMA's London affiliate, Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM), where he has been part of the Solutions team since 2010.
All three executives will report directly to Jodan Ledford, Head of US Solutions for LGIMA.
In addition, Jeff Eberhardt joins as Senior Client Relationship Manager, with a focus on customized mandates, which includes LDI / Solutions mandates. Jeff joins from Ansley Capital Group where he was a Vice President at the healthcare focused boutique investment bank. Prior to that, Jeff was with Deutsche Bank and Wachovia Securities and has an extensive background in originating, structuring and trading credit derivatives.
Jeff will report directly to Nancy Johnson, Head of Client Relationships for LGIMA.
