WATERTOWN, Mass., June 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Following its October announcement of plans to develop a Centralized Application Service (CAS™) for graduate business programs in the US and internationally, Liaison International will launch BusinessCAS™ for graduate business and management programs at the 2017 GMAC Annual Conference. The leading admissions management provider will also host a pre-conference first glance at the new service on June 15 from 2-2:45pm ET.
"BusinessCAS offers a unique value because Liaison's approach to streamlining admissions is comprehensive," said Bob Alig, former executive vice president of GMAC and former director of MBA admissions and financial aid at The Wharton School. Alig is currently consulting with Liaison to convene an advisory board that will help guide development of the new CAS.
He continued: "Through BusinessCAS, we're driving program accessibility to benefit business education as a whole, while optimizing the experience for applicants and the admissions officers who connect with more candidates each year. As part of this initiative, BusinessCAS will offer processing and packaging capabilities as well as the ability to collect longitudinal data that offers strategic insight to members and graduate business educators worldwide."
Liaison has dedicated the last two decades to developing admissions solutions and services, customized by discipline, for over 35 professional associations and educational organizations. The organization is building upon their vast experience offering a user-friendly, streamlined application process and a single portal to discover all participating programs, which it will draw on for the the new CAS. BusinessCAS will expand access to programs, generating larger applicant pools while eliminating the burdens of manual processing tasks for admissions officers and staff.
"With less time required for administrative tasks and more opportunities presented to engage with prospective students, admissions officers can focus on identifying 'best-fit' students and building better classes at a lower cost," added George Haddad, founder and CEO of Liaison. "We're excited to bring our software and services to business schools in the US and abroad through BusinessCAS, which will help them realize the benefits our existing partners have seen over the last twenty years."
