Deployment Represents the Ukraine's First Commercial Virtualized LTE Core Network
ACTON, Mass., Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Odine Solutions, the leading NFV systems integrator in EMEA today announced that, together with Affirmed Networks, the leader in virtualized mobile networks, have successfully deployed a virtualized network for lifecell, a leading mobile network operator covering Ukraine. The deployment, which represents Ukraine's first virtualized LTE Core network in production, allows lifecell to transform its network to deliver a wide range of next-generation mobile services.
The selection of Affirmed Networks' 5G ready, web scale mobile core solution enables a seamless migration to deliver 5G services. A proven platform currently supporting more than 80 service providers worldwide, Affirmed's virtualized Evolved Packet Core (vEPC) will allow lifecell to offer new tailored services and develop new revenue streams by taking advantage of Affirmed Networks' solutions including network slicing and virtual probes.
To ensure an efficient deployment and seamless migration, lifecell chose Odine Solutions based on their proven track record of delivering end-to-end systems integration and managed services for m MNOs deploying virtualized network functions and infrastructures in EMEA.
