CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Light Reading (lightreading.com) released the results of its first global survey gauging social media's influence in the next-gen communications marketplace.
The results of the survey contained responses from 750 telecom professionals, including more than 200 service providers. A free report detailing the survey results is available at:
Light Reading's survey found that LinkedIn is considered the most productive network for communications professionals, though most admit they check Facebook more often during the day. And, while companies want to find out what people are talking about, relatively few are going so far as to monitor social media messaging, productivity and effectiveness with third-party tools.
