LOS ANGELES, March 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The world's largest independent music network, likeZEBRA.com, announces their latest and greatest liveZEBRA event to be held as part of the monumental South By Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas. Drawing the attention of music fans from all over the world, the likeZEBRA SXSW Artist Showcase will feature six coveted likeZEBRA artists performing live at the Dirty Dog Bar on 6th Street, Saturday, March 19, 2011 from at 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Host to the largest database of independent music and artist exclusives, likeZEBRA is excited to launch yet another liveZEBRA event to encourage the growth of independent music around the world.

liveZEBRA, likeZEBRA's live concert series, continues to be a major driving force fueling the independent music movement. Presented by Adult Chocolate Milk, the likeZEBRA Artist Showcase will be the not-to-miss lineup of SXSW, featuring Innerpartysystem, Defeater, Memphis May Fire, The Parlotones, Barcelona and Harris Grade.  Attendees will have the opportunity to get up-close and personal as the likeZEBRA artists take the stage at the intimate Austin venue.

The free downloadable album will feature a compilation of songs complete with album artwork, available March 1, 2011 to likeZEBRA members. The EP contains a track from each of the  performing artists, including Innerpartysystem, Defeater, Memphis May Fire, Barcelona, Harris Grade and multi-platinum South-African group The Parlotones. This collection of bands will bring a variety of musical styles, ranging from electronic to rock to hardcore.

Garnering worldwide attention since 1987, the Austin, Texas-based South By Southwest festival has a reputation as one of the most exciting and diverse music and film festivals in the world.  Celebrating its 25th anniversary, SXSW will spotlight 2,000-plus musical acts, beginning March 16, 2011 and continuing until March 20.
