
BOULDER, Colo., March 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Noted public servant, author, commentator and columnist Linda Chavez has joined the REO Board of Directors. Chavez has a long and distinguished record in both public service and private enterprise. She was the highest ranking woman to serve in the Reagan White House (as Director of Public Liaison), and was the first Latina ever nominated to the United States Cabinet. She has also been Staff Director of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Chairman of the National Commission on Migrant Education, and was the U.S. expert to the United Nations' Human Rights Sub-Commission.
Ms. Chavez also has extensive experience in corporate governance, and is currently a Director of ABM Industries, where she chairs the compensation committee. She also sits on the Boards of several non-profit organizations, including the Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy.
