NEW YORK, Nov. 29, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Identity theft is one of the most serious and fastest-growing white-collar crimes in the United States, a fact which much of the population remains blissfully ignorant of. The precise location of these New York City document-shredding stations will vary throughout the five boroughs in the hopes of raising public awareness and providing easy access to secure document shredding throughout New York City.

The first such public document-shredding station will take place at the Staten Island Mall on Sunday, December 1, 2013 between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm.

All paper will be shredded on location in a LionCage state-of-the-art shredding truck and 100% of the paper will be recycled.
