BALLERUP, Denmark, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LiqTech International, Inc. (NYSE MKT: LIQT) ("LiqTech") is pleased to announce that the Company has received a $790,000 order from an international mining company. The order is for a newly developed highly chemical resistant composite multi-housing for the Company´s SiC membranes, chemical storage tanks and process equipment. The order is expected to be delivered in the first half of 2016.
Mr. Sune Mathiesen, LiqTech CEO, remarked, "This order is a follow-on order to the mining order we announced in June 2015. We have commenced production of the system and are pleased that the customer has placed a larger portion of the project with us. The total value of the two orders is $6.9 million. This marks an important step for us in our efforts to establish ourselves as a supplier of complete water treatment solutions.
These orders with this customer are a direct result of our focus on applications within heavy-metal removal. By narrowing our focus to a limited number of applications, we have become specialists and with our new ability to include design, pre- and post-treatment and installation to our scope of delivery, we have become an even more attractive partner to our customers. We are actively pursuing other opportunities within heavy-metal removal applications and we believe that the capability to supply complete water treatment solutions will lead to further orders in the future," Mr. Mathiesen concluded.
