NEW YORK, July 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Chatter, Inc. (www.chatterinc.com), a boutique qualitative and quantitative market-research firm that specializes in helping clients keep their brands strong and relevant over time, today announced that Lisa Bertelsen has joined the firm as a Partner in its New York office.
Bertelsen joins Chatter from Siegel+Gale, where she built its Research Insights practice as Global Director.
At Chatter, Bertelsen adds to a roster of senior-level consultants who have a unique mix of research and branding expertise. She leads a variety of project types – including positioning, brand architecture, ad testing, and concept assessment – across the financial services, tech/telecomm, healthcare, retail and publishing industries.
Bertelsen is also charged with building Chatter's usability and customer-experience practice, a discipline for which she is nationally known.
"Lisa is a perfect fit with Chatter," says Dan Lazar, Chatter's president. "She's the rare market researcher who filters consumer insights through the lens of brand strategy and customer experience, and that's what Chatter is all about. For Lisa to also expand our services to usability testing is especially exciting for us and our clients."
Before her time at Siegel+Gale, Bertelsen was Vice President of Qualitative Research at Ipsos, a global market research firm. In her 18-year career, Bertelsen has conducted research on every continent with clients like Merrill Lynch, Coca-Cola, FedEx, Visa, Yahoo!, Samsung, Bloomberg, and Microsoft, to name a few.
"Chatter is known for transforming traditional market research into insightful brand-building, and that approach is what drew me to them," says Bertelsen. "They understand business as well as research, and develop insights that are both engaging and actionable. It's a results-oriented approach that the world of market research desperately needs, and Chatter is just the firm to make that happen."
In addition to her duties at Chatter, Bertelsen is an adjunct professor of marketing at NYU, where she teaches market research.
Bertelsen earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California. She also holds Specialty Degrees in Politics from the University of Kent in England and in Multimedia from San Francisco State University.
