According to a recent survey, "81 percent of people feel that they have a book in them... and should write it." Physical books sales declined between 2009 and 2010, while e-books grew 201% contributing to Amazon.com's record growth after launching its Kindle.

These facts demonstrate a powerful opportunity for aspiring authors to get online and bypass publishing completely, but not all authors can find success on this large platform. As great as this opportunity is the real truth is that the average sale of self-published books is under 20 copies.
