A year ago, CU-Boulder's Academic Technology Support group kicked off its first lecture capture pilot. As the project manager, Duncan went looking for answers to his questions, but not just about the technology. Pedagogically, administratively, procedurally, spatially - what resources were out there and where could he find guidance to avoid common missteps?
After the successful pilot, he went on to write his Master's Thesis on effective practices for lecture capture, and now he's ready to share what he's learned with you.
Tune in for this webinar and you'll never say "if I only knew then what I know now." Plus, you'll also receive the companion ebook with more topics to broach before you hit record.
Discussion will include:
- The nine areas of investigation you must explore to ensure successful lecture capture, be it your first pilot or starting with a large scale deployment; avoid them and you run the risk of slow- to no-adoption
- How to tackle faculty buy-in, success metrics, support considerations and outreach to ensure a lasting impact on learning and retention
- Real-life examples and cautionary tales from the CU-Boulder experience, including the collaborative process, technical hurdles and classroom technology design
