Loc Performance Products, Inc. Awarded $161 Million Bradley ECP-1 Contract

PLYMOUTH, Mich., July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan-based Loc Performance Products, Inc. has been awarded a $161 million defense contract to restore lost mobility to the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.  The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract was awarded by the U.S. Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command.  The contract provides for Engineering Change Proposal (ECP-1) Vehicle modifications, through installation of Track Kits, Shock Absorber Kits, Vehicle Suspension Support System Kits, and Heavy Weight Torsion Bar Kits.

Loc will perform vehicle upgrades at locations including Fort Hood (Texas), Fort Carson (Colorado), Fort Stewart (Georgia) and Fort Riley (Kansas).  Loc is also responsible for logistics support including vehicle inspections, new equipment training, and a 10 kilometer road test for each upgraded vehicle. 

To fulfill the contract, Loc will add approximately forty employees by next year, beginning with quality and manufacturing engineers, to be followed by new production workers.
