Local Charity Launches Global Giving Campaign to Aid Military Families

30-Day Fundraising Campaign Focused on National Guardsmen and Military Reservists

BETHESDA, Md., Aug. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Mercy for Me, a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of those facing unforeseen hardship, has been selected to participate in the Global Giving Campaign's Open Challenge and will raise funds to support military families in need.  Mercy for Me will kick off this 30-day campaign with a visit to military heroes at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

As part of the campaign, Mercy for Me established the Military Heroes Hardship Relief Fund.
