Local Consignment Sale Credits Use of Technology for Growth -- Largest Sale in 10 Year History Starts Next Week

"Starting with the creation of our website in 2004, implementation of bar-coding software in 2006 and now social media, our sales have grown from 60 sellers in 2001 to over 800 in our upcoming Plano sale next week."

Teutsch notes that their Facebook page and Twitter account are their best way to stay in touch with the busy moms that are the heart of their business. "Young 20s and 30s parents of today are constantly online so it's so easy to pass along a quick message about our upcoming events, do a giveaway or host a Facebook Q&A session to keep our customers informed. For their fall sales in Plano and Grapevine, Divine Consign plans to implement Facebook check-in to help customers tell their friends about the sales and is using the new technology of QR Codes in both their mailings and at the sales to engage customers.  "We're going to have posters displayed at our events with a QR code for shoppers to scan in order to pick up a great giveaway during our 10th anniversary celebration. With so many people using smartphones these days, we thought that using a QR code would be a fun away for people to get involved at our events."  Their Plano sale starts next Sunday.
