Local Energy Firm receives Grant for HVAC Technology Installations increasing Efficiency and Reducing Costs
ANNAPOLIS, Md., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- XChanger Companies has been awarded its second grant from the University of Maryland's Center for Environmental Energy Engineering. The grant money will be used to install another patented XChanger HVAC air flow technology system in a commercial building space. The first grant the company received was used in the Holmatro USA commercial manufacturing facility in Glen Burnie, MD. All of the project work for these grants uses Maryland based labor and design resources. The Annapolis based company offers energy efficiency enhancements that routinely save as much as 30% of HVAC energy costs.
The Center for Environmental Energy Engineering is a leader in research and education in environmentally responsible, economically feasible, integrated energy conversion systems for buildings and transportation. Research focuses in particular on air-conditioning, refrigeration and heat pumping and integrated cooling heating and power systems.
