Local Girl Gives Back: Good To Go Cafe Owner Celebrates 16 Years in Business With 16% Off

CLEVELAND, Sept. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Anna Harouvis got her start in the restaurant business playing waitress at her father's bar and grille on Cleveland's Public Square.  Since 1994, she has been in the industry as a manager or owner.  On October 1, 2001, Harouvis opened her current place:  Good To Go Cafe, located in the IMG Center in downtown Cleveland.  This Friday, Oct. 1, Harouvis celebrates 16 years in the restaurant business by offering 16% off all orders.  

October 1st is also her father's birthday.  Leroy Harouvis, who passed away in 1997, is immortalized in a photo collage of his football career, on display in the cafe.  There is also a sandwich named for him, the "Leroy Chicken" (on ciabatta with roasted red pepper pesto), which is 16% off all month.  Mr. Harouvis emigrated from Greece to the U.S., and Anna occasionally features homemade Greek favorites like pastitsio, spanakopita, and baklava on her menu.

Anna Harouvis lives in Cleveland and is a strong supporter of other Cleveland-owned businesses.  She uses local distributors, shops regularly at the historic West Side Market, and tries to purchase food grown within a 100-mile radius.  Good To Go Cafe offers fresh, wholesome food, and is the kind of place where a customer would be covered if he forgot his wallet.  Catering and house accounts are usually handled with a simple handshake.  

The cafe is located off the IMG lobby (a global sports and media business), and dine-in customers have spotted sports celebrities like LeBron James and Tiger Woods visiting Anna's cafe.  Pitcher David Huff from the Cleveland Indians is such a regular that the "Huff Hoagie" has become a fixture on the menu.
