- a discount of 15 percent on packing and shipping services from UPS.

- a coupon for a free cup of coffee from Local Coffee and Tea.
- upgraded accommodations for just $10.
Participating antique shops, many of which are located nearby in downtown Sarasota, include American Pie Antiques, Crissy Galleries, Sharalyn's Faded Rose Antiques, Sarasota Architectural Salvage and The Sea Hagg. Sanders' Antiques, one of Sarasota's oldest shops, will offer a free patent dater along with their discount.
Each store has its own unique atmosphere and specialty, such as American Pie Antiques, where visitors will find a large selection of fine vintage linens, along with china, glassware and pottery pieces. The Sea Hagg, located in nearby Cortez, Fla., offers nautical gear and various antiques. For appraisals and Victorian, art deco and retro jewelry, guests should plan to visit Crissy Galleries.
Antiquing in Sarasota was developed by Jesse White, owner of Sarasota Architectural Salvage. The shop carries original, environmentally-friendly products crafted entirely of salvage.
"Summer is a great time to visit Sarasota," said White. "The fishing is great, and there's no wait at my favorite restaurants. I hope people come here and stay a few days, not just to antique, but to visit our museums and beaches, go fishing and see the botanical gardens. There's so much to do!"
