Local Public Affairs Firm Announces New Name and Partners
Schubert Flint Public Affairs to become FSB Core Strategies and names Kristy Babb & Cherri Spriggs-Hernandez as Partners
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeff Flint, President of Schubert Flint Public Affairs, announced today that he will be renaming the successful consulting firm he co-founded in 2005. The new name is FSB Core Strategies. He also announced that Kristy Babb and Cherri Spriggs-Hernandez, both long-time senior employees at the firm, will join him as partners. The name change and new partners come after the firm announced last week that former SFPA partner, Frank Schubert, is leaving the company to pursue other consulting interests.
Babb is a Senior Vice President and has been with the firm since 2005 while Spriggs-Hernandez is currently a Vice President and began her career with the company in 2004. Both women have played integral roles over the past few years in growing the company's consumer and corporate business and will assist Flint in leading the newly re-branded firm in continuing to serve their diverse roster of clients.
The name change, FSB Core Strategies, represents a combination of the initials of the partners Flint, Spriggs-Hernandez, Babb, as well as an emphasis on assisting their clients in creating and implementing winning strategies.
"I am looking forward to this new chapter and continuing to provide our remarkable clients with exceptional service," said Flint. "Kristy and Cherri are both highly-accomplished public affairs professionals and will play significant roles in the future of our new company. I am honored to have these women as my business partners and excited for what the future holds."
Prior to becoming a partner at SFPA, Flint was Owner and President of Flint Communications where he established himself as one of the most widely respected public affairs and political professionals in the state of California. As President of FSB Core Strategies, Flint will continue to serve current and prospective clients with the tenacity and strategic insight for which he is known.
Spriggs-Hernandez started her career at Goddard Claussen Porter Novelli upon graduating from California State University, Chico, and joined SFPA as a Senior Account Executive eight years ago. In 2005, she worked with Flint to lead the firm's Orange County office. Born in Orange and raised in San Clemente, she currently serves as not only a Partner, but also the Managing Director of the firm's Orange County office splitting her time between their firm's two locations. She currently manages the day-to-day efforts on behalf of a number of political clients as well as the firm's Fortune 500 corporate clients, including Spanish-language communications programs.
A graduate of the University of California Davis, Babb has worked on a number of successful statewide campaigns and coalition efforts within California, Nevada, Oregon, Hawaii and Washington. She possesses a diverse background in media relations, grassroots marketing, community and key influential outreach, public affairs, initiative campaigns, social media and consumer public relations. Babb also heads the firm's business operations and human resources for both Sacramento and the Orange County offices.
The new company, FSB Core Strategies, will continue to operate from its established Sacramento and Orange County offices. Together, the two offices employ 14 people. Over the coming weeks, the company will also be launching a new website, logo and other branding activities to reflect the firm's new name.
