LodgeNet Enhances The Venetian Interactive Guest Experience With Envision Installation

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET), the leading provider of interactive media and connectivity services to hospitality and healthcare businesses and the consumers they serve, today announced the largest single deployment of its Envision™ interactive HDTV (iHDTV) platform and apps at The Venetian® Resort-Hotel-Casino in Las Vegas. The installation enhances the LodgeNet interactive system already installed at the landmark property.

LodgeNet is currently installing Envision at The Venetian and The Palazzo integrated resorts, which total 7,110 rooms and nearly 14,600 HD televisions. Envision delivers the industry's first cloud-based interactive television experience without the need for a computer in every room and offers apps that connect guests to the things that are important to them when traveling, such as checking weather and current flight information as well as learning more about on-site amenities and local attractions.

In addition, an In-Room Dining app will allow guests to place orders for immediate delivery or in advance. This service, along with a Guest Info app and multiple Happenings Channels distributed across the three towers, will help Venetian guests enjoy an even more fulfilling experience and learn about amenities inside and outside their guest room. The content of these apps is configurable through the LodgeNet PowerPortal™, which enables hotel staff to control the creation, scheduling and distribution of hotel-specific content delivered on their interactive television system and the LodgeNet Mobile App. The Venetian's Envision platform will also deliver a full array of in-room entertainment.
