LodgeNet Expands Envision Launch to the Lone Star State With Installations at Two Austin Hotels

AUSTIN, Texas, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- With one of the world's biggest hospitality industry trade shows opening here today, attendees staying at two Austin hotels have a chance to experience LodgeNet Interactive Corporation's flagship product before they even get to the show floor. LodgeNet (NASDAQ: LNET), the leading provider of media and connectivity solutions to hospitality and healthcare businesses, announced today that they have installed Envision™, their interactive HDTV (iHDTV) platform, at the Four Seasons Hotel Austin and the Hilton Austin.

The installations – representing nearly 1,100 guest rooms – mark the first deployments of Envision in the southern United States and offer access to the new Envision applications available in an easy to navigate, "app store" format. In addition, guests can easily access the Local Info app for information about area restaurants, shopping, bars and clubs with the click of a remote. They can also choose from a vast array of entertainment, including the newest Hollywood releases and a large selection of just missed television shows, as well as on demand sports programming. Through the eCompendium feature of the Envision system, HITEC attendees will also be able to view hotel and local area related content created specifically for them.

In recent months LodgeNet has installed Envision systems at hotels including the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in suburban Chicago, the W San Francisco, the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Sioux Falls, SD, and the Lenox Hotel in Boston.

LodgeNet will host an invitation-only Envision press event on Tuesday, June 21 at 10:00 AM CDT. The event will be held in the company's HITEC booth (#407) at the Austin Convention Center. LodgeNet invites all HITEC attendees to visit its booth from June 21-23 to see the Envision platform and apps along with other TV, broadband and mobile solutions.
