Already nearing the production phase, the product is expected to be available through retail channels in the 1^st Quarter of 2017.

The smart WiFi meat thermometer, Loki, delivers temperature and cooking notifications to the free Loki app on any iOS or Android mobile device, at home or around town. The app predicts cooking time and actively tracks the time remaining to completion. The notification system provides for perfect cooking precision without hovering to check progress.

A number of rewards are available to backers of Loki's Kickstarter campaign, including Loki starting at $89 (40% off retail). "We chose crowdfunding for Loki because we see it as an ideal opportunity for gauging interest, and building the best version of this product by getting direct consumer feedback," said Hammer.
