London College of Information Technology Launches its new Series of Advanced IT Certification Programs

Working professionals who want to build knowledge quickly in a specific area to refresh or supplement their expertise can now apply to take graduate-level courses and programs at London College of Information Technology through new non-degree and graduate-level Advanced Professional Certificate programs. Initially the College will offer three different program tracks: finance, marketing and general business.

Throughout the years, working professionals, including those who already have a graduate degree in IT, have consistently asked for opportunities to take graduate-level courses at LCIT. These programs meet this need.

"One common theme we continue to hear with growing intensity from our prospective students, , is the importance of time-how can I learn what I need to know as quickly as possible to excel in my current position or to be competitive for new functions?" said Robert Pollard, Assistant Dean, College Admissions, London College of Information Technology. "These professional graduate level certificates are rigorous academic programs designed to provide relevant and specific area knowledge at a quick pace. In addition, the programs are offered on weeknights and Saturdays and online to be accessible for busy professionals."

To assess the academic ability and potential of students, who will take classes alongside degree students, LCIT requires candidates to apply for admission. As part of the admissions process, candidates must have two years of work experience and submit either a GMAT or GRE score, or proof of an MBA degree or a graduate Degree in IT or CS. Candidates may apply to start courses in the Fall or Spring semester. The first enrolled students will begin coursework in Fall 2015.

"We believe our new offerings will appeal to many different types of working professionals," continued Pollard. "For example, the Big Data track could quickly empower people who didn't major in Big Data in college, but who now work in the industry, with a broader perspective that helps them excel in their function.
